We roast on a state-of-the-art fully-digital handmade MCR-2D from Mill City Roasters in Minneapolis, Minnesota to bring you the highest quality roasts from El Salvador.
The roastery is located off-site from the coffee shop in the Merliot neighborhood of Santa Tecla, El Salvador a short 15-20 minute drive from our store. The roastery is not open to the public except during scheduled Roasting Experience tours.
COFFEE ROASTING EXPERIENCE
Ever wanted to learn the basics of coffee roasting and roast your own coffee?
We offer a coffee roasting experience on Sunday Mornings, please contact us at goodbeans.sv@gmail.com to book.
Our coffee roasting experience includes you roasting your own 2 kg batch of one of our green coffees, all are specialty grade, strictly high grown, and we have a certified organic option available. Your choice.
We'll teach you the basics of coffee roasting, the experience lasts roughly 90-120 minutes and you can ask me any questions about growing, roasting or brewing coffee. You'll get to charge the machine yourself and control the entire roast, then drop the roasted coffee into the cooling tray. We can either hold your hand and show you step by step what to do, or you can wing it (at your own risk 😅 in regards to taste 😁)
You'll get to visit our coffee roastery and learn how to roast your own coffee
You get to keep the coffee that you roasted and we'll happily pack it in either 1/2 lb or 1 lb bags for you to take home for yourself or to gift family and friends! (Expect 1600-1700 grams end-weight depending on roast level chosen)
Cost: $100 for groups of 1-4 people
Extra 2 kg green batch: $75
Organic coffee is available upon request for no additional charge.
Includes a commemorative brand new yute coffee bag with GoodBeans branding for decoration of your coffee corner at home.
Meals are not provided, but there's coffee, water and light snacks available at the roastery.
Times: Sunday Mornings starting at 9 AM, please book in advance.
Transportation not included. Roastery located in the Merliot area between San Salvador and Santa Tecla, arriving by Uber is highly recommended due to lack of parking. Alternatively you can get to our store in San Benito by 8:30 am and I'll drive you to the roastery free of charge. Transportation back from the roastery is not provided. USD and Bitcoin accepted. For credit card payments you'll need to pay in-store in San Benito.
